well, just when you think you can´t top that you arrive in El Chaltan in the middle of nowhere. It looks like something out of a western, one dusty gravel road is the main street. You think to yourself why does anyone come here. Then you take a little wander out of town and it truly a trekkers paradise. As many of you know Im not much of a trekker but this place was really something else and i spent two days doing 8-10 hour treks around some of the most beautiful terrain in this part of the world. It was really something else and there were many moments of quite introspection spent on the side of various hills and mountains. The evenings were mostly spent chatting to the locals, watching films and drinking beer in the this little ski lodge restaurant which i decided to call home for few days.
After 4 days in El Chaltan it was time to move north to Argentine lake district.
