Where I stayed

This is "more or less" where the Camino story ends for me. I have finally reached the town of Finisterre. It has taken a further 4 days after Santiago, but it has been well worth the additional pain. Javier has been a great walking companion (Muchas Gracias to you Amigo).

Finisterre is a nice enough place. Small fishing town with some emphasis on tourism.
The walk out of town to the light house makes for a deeply spiritual finale to this pilgrimage, and an obvious opportunity to take some more pictures!.

It has been raining everyday since entering Galicia and the last 4 days were no different. The GoreTex is always on top of the pack and ready to go into action.

As with every great journey, the travel must at some point come to an end. I suspected for some time that my feelings will not be "normal" when I get to this point, and sure enough, there is a certain level of anxiety deep within me: What now? What next? Is this it? What have I gotten from this? Have I gotten anything from this... for that matter?!

I think I would actually like to keep going. And after a short break I know the legs would be up to it as well. I feel disappointed that things have come to an end. I knew that these feelings would be there. Therefore it is time to start planning the next adventures, trips, etc. Time to get busy thinking of other things...time to reflect and smile!!!

Tomorrow it's back to Santiago on the BUS! Yes, I am finally allowing myself the luxury of public transport. The legs will be getting a break. There will be NO walking back. My walking days are over (for this week).
