Wow, how lucky are we? For three days Lewis pass has been closed to all traffic because of severe weather - basically snow too deep. We were concerened about setting off today and having to take a much longer route, but hey, Lewis Pass is open!!! What beautiful scenery we had, lots of fresh snow on all the trees, and grass. Boys stopped for a while to build play - just after we passed another family playing on the road just over a blind hill and bend - lucky Helen didn't drive over them!!
