Bonjour from Paris!!
Our trip to Paris was a real marathon, having flied via the States on a round the world ticket, and sadly missing our connecting flight in Frankfurt. After waiting for 50 mins to disembark in Frankfurt, we had 10mins to get to our next flight. What we didn't know at that stage was that we had to go through passport control, security and then get to our gate which was a few km away!!! Despite a run with some of our fellow travellers, the plane was gone exactly on time, and we had another 2.5hrs to wait. When we finally made it to Paris, we had been travelling for over 40hrs.
Our apartment in Paris is right in the centre, on the Ile de la Cite next door to Notre Dame (we can see Notre Dame from our kitchen window and love listening to the bells throughout the day). Ben & I are sharing the apartment with Ben's mum and cousin, as well as a variety of visitors during our time here. Our first full day in Paris yesterday was lovely - we started with a pain au chocolat and hot chocolate, and we went on a stroll and somehow ended up at the Eiffel tower. All up Ben thinks we covered about 10km. Bye for now!
