We strolled down the pier looking at the many fish, prawns, lobsters and shellfish stacked high in silver bowls. We were at the fish market in La Libertad (El Salvador). Lots of people gathered every day to sell their catch.

As soon as we walked inside the stench hit me! The smell of fresh seafood wafted in the air. Surrounding us were fish as big as half a metre and as small as 10cms. Everything was taken from the sea; every size and width!

A large variety of seafood lined the side walk. We bought a bag of prawns and three lobsters to take back to the hotel and cook. The prawns were massive!! Bigger than I'd ever seen before!

That night we had a delicous dinner of fresh seafood cooked by Dad. I looked out upon the waves crashing onto the sand while eating it!!
