We had stopped in Santa Rosa de Lima, after going from Leon in Nicaragua to Honduras and through Honduras to El Salvador in one day!
So anyway we conveniently stopped in front of Burger King and we conveniently had dinner there. We finished our delicious dinner of burgers, chips, and drinks and Mum asked about the hotel that we wanted to stay in.
The person who Mum talked to just so happened to know a guy, who was eating at Burger King himself, who had a hotel. He said he would give us a room for fifteen US Dollars a night, which is a ridiculously low price!
His place was conveniently 4 blocks away so we followed his car there. We went into the room and got settled in. We paid up front, which is a first. Maybe because he just so happened to forget to mention that his business wasn't mainly families.
He suggested we should leave before 8 o'clock because his hotel was very popular by the day. Sometimes El Salvordorian people want privacy away from their one room houses and parents, grandparents, brothers, sisters, children and grandchildren. So when they need this privacy for those intimate moments they rent the place, we have termed 'the love shack', for an hour or so during the day.
The love shack was a rather basic room that had cobwebs on the ceiling. The bed was missing a support so it rocked like a roller coaster and the grey concrete brick walls were half painted silver to try give it a little bit of class, not that it did much. Also the shower was just cold water coming out the end of a pipe!!! Seriously Mum and Dad.
Ps Forgot to take photos of this :-)
