Along with a continuation of our beach-bum lives we did some great day trips.
On one myself and Scot did a spot of diving. It didn't start well with the dive shop having to ring our hotel to get us out of bed but that was quickly forgiven when we showed up at the dive shop in 10 mins in flying form. The condidtions were great and I had my first experience of cave diving. Swimming through a cave with 1000s of fish all around is absolutely breath-taking and apart from banging my tank several times in a very un-graceful way, the trip was a big success. Bring on more diving. Scott provided a bit of entertainment too - nearly choked as I couldn't help laughing whenever I saw him kicking around like a maniac while his instructor got a free lift hanging off his tank.
Next day, we joined a bunch of our travel mates on a days island hopping cruise. Snorkelling, drinks, live karaoke band, drinks, lunch, drinks, floating bar, drinks, aquarium, drinks. Not that bad really.
We also enjoyed a few nights on the beach watching the semi-finals of Euro 2008. Not the best time for footy (1.45am) but it had to be done.
Apart from that, lots more craic with our fellow travellers in our favourite haunt (Why Not? bar). Perfect name. Also, some more lounging on the beach (even if it was a tad dirty).
However, once our tans were up to scratch it was time to move on. Next stop Ho Chi Minh City.
