So, the trip has finally kicked-off and 2 days in I am still going stong. Apart from some profuse sweating (night and day) I have settled into the trip quite well already. Strolling around on my first night a random Thai teacher, from Chang Mai, showed me a few of the sights and then we shared dinner and a few beers. Nice guy really but had to be careful as at the end he was trying to convince me to join him in some go-go bar. That would have inevitably ended in tears for me so got away in a tuc-tuc pretty quick. Today another random street goer arranged for me to get a 3 hour tuc-tuc tour for only 40 Baht. The driver seemed pretty happy to lounge on the back-seat while I went into each temple or shopping area. Heading to Ko Phangan tomorrow evening - hopefully not too late to arrange accomodation.

Re: tuk tuks :)
Doesn't everybody. Should be a warning in the guide book.
