Helads Marylena: You need no more reason to visit Guatemala City.  They have dozens of flavors of ice cream.  Fish, beer, beans, lots of things I didn't understand.  I must admit that the wildest I got was corn flavored (it was very good).

Other reasons to visit Guatemala City: To see how actual Guatemalans live outside of the tourist zones.  To feast on the vast array of street-food available everywhere.  To go to the central cemetary and see the booths selling stuff (2 for the price of 1 funerals!  No, seriously).  Go oggle all the guns everywhere.  Every place has an armed guard and every armed guard has a very large shotgun.  Heck, even the ice cream shop had a shotgun totting guard.  This is why I was glad to be in Guatemala City on a bright sunny day.  I made a point of leaving before dark.
