Home of the Best Coffee Ever

Crossroads Cafe (www.crossroadscafepana.com), is home to some of the best coffee I have ever had. If y'all wondered why I travel all over the world, it's for little places like this, run by a great guy named Mike (a California transplant) who has some truly excellent coffee. An American guy making coffee? This is why you come to Guatemala? Welllll, this is why I come to Panajachel. For me, it was a little window into the life of American Ex-pats overseas. Not at all the same as the Mayan women selling woven thingies or the security guards with shotguns, but just as Guatemalan all the same.
Anyway, if you're ever in Guatemala this place is definitely worth the trip. Say hi to Mike for me if he hasn't retired by then (988 days . . .)
