Okay let's clear up the mass confusion once and for all: I have NOT been to Bangladesh (B'desh), I did not go to B'desh already and I will NOT be going to B'desh in the next week (or so). If I were in B'desh right now I would have let EVERYONE and their dog know I was going! So get it in your heads people I am still in Winnipeg! But don't feel like you were the only one who thought I was gone, most of you did, even close friends, tisk tisk. I swear even my mom asked if I was in B'desh the other day!

ANYWAYS, the reason I have not left yet is because I need a visa so that I can volunteer in B'desh for a year. Obviously it is a slow process, because I started it around Aug. 25th and its now Sept 27th and I think I have a couple more weeks to go. So what am I doing now that I am waiting for my visa? Well I am waiting for my visa obviously! I wake up every morning and check the mailbox... maybe today I will get my visa stuff... so far I have only gotten bills in the mail! Right now my visa stuff has been sent from B'desh to me, I think I will be getting it in the next 2 days. Then I have to send it to Ottawa as fast as I can and then the visa will be processed which takes 5 working days and then it will come back to me. Then I can go to B'desh!! So I think in about 2 weeks I can go! If all goes well!

But I have kept myself busy for the past month or so. I went to Mexico in August on a split second decision and had a glorious time. A day later I flew to Akron Pennsylvania for a week where I met strangers (and fellow class mates at both university and high school) on similar journey's and saw Elvis sing and dance and to prove it I bought his picture for $5! I then went to Chris' cabin for the weekend and sat on the boat all day and all night with lots of my friends and of course we all had a blast! I am supposedly helping coach the women's volleyball team at CMU (Canadian Mennonite University), but I think I am more of a distraction because we are always giggling about something and I keep wishing I was playing instead! Sept. Long weekend I went camping at Clear Lake with 4 wonderful friends and had loads of fun with the pie irons, ketchup, and the party hat! I have been working occasionally at the Support house, its nice to see the lady's again.

I and 5 other churchies went to the Coldplay concert in Minneapolis last week. The 6 hour drive there and back went by fast due to the hilarity of the digital camera and having our very own radio station at 4am! "Brrring Brrring, I would like to make a song request for my dying husband, the song I would like him to hear is Dust in the Wind!" A couple of days later I went to Ellendale Minnasota, which was another 7 hour trip for a volleyball tournament and guess what, we WON! Heck yes! We probably won because of my sweet skills as a coach! Not only did we drive 7 hours but we played volleyball for 7 hours, all in one day! The drive went by pretty fast too, this time due to the obscurity of the girls (myself included) and having many random events and random things said, such as "that's STUPID!" for everything and anything in the States. The whole hot ranch and gravy dubackle still makes me pee my pants from laughing. And our white gangster rendition of Bob Marley's song Jammingggg that would make him proud!

I am slowly learning some Bengali words and numbers and getting very confused! Numbers are bizzare! For example most of the numbers have weird symbols that are so far from English numbers that it just looks down right silly but then the number 4 which is said like this "Char," you would think it would be a weird symbol but when writing it, it is the same number as 8! How bizzare! And why are the numbers 7 and 60 pronounced the same way?!!! So if I go to the market and ask for 7 coconuts, will there be a possibility that I get 60?! HAHA! I am soooo gonna look like a fool in B'desh! I had some more vaccinations at the travel clinic which cost way too much money, I have spent over $600 on shots to keep myself from getting sick, yet so far I have come down with 2 colds in the last month... odd. I have also been able to celebrate many of my friends birthdays and have given out some sweet homemade cards! I am reading Harry Potter for the first time ever! I think I am finally old enough to read it! Sweet! I am on chapter 6! I know I am a slow reader, oh well. I have also taken many naps! Oh boy do I love a good napping! And some days I have stayed in my PJ's all day! Oh what a tuff life eh?!!!

So those are some of the things that I have done in the past 2 months. Now for the things that I haven't done. I haven't gone to B'desh yet. And now for things that I would like to do: go to B'desh! Well hopefully this will soon become reality for me! I guess that is all I have to say for now!

So I wish I was in B'desh but I am also very greatful that I have had this time with family and friends. I have been pretty content with my situation and love every minute of the day. No matter where I am I know I will be fine but most importantly I always have a good time! HURRAY!!!

Smiles all around!
