In other news, last night we went to dinner with a friend of Daniel, it was a massive meal, I felt like I was going to burst. I think the amount of food I ate is the reason I stayed pretty sober even after about five shots of homemade liquors and vodka. We though about staying the night there but I’m glad we didn’t, I think it might have gotten messy.
Sunday we had a great afternoon with Jakob. He and Felix spent hours working out why fuel was running out of the carburettor. After hours of taking them apart and putting them back together they figured out the problem and fixed it. We then went to the Netto car park and Jakob taught Felix how to do circle work. They were driving with the sidecar off the ground and drifting and screeching stops. Felix did a full thirty-metre circle with the sidecar off the ground while I was in it. We left a lot of skid marks in the car park; I hope no one is too upset about that. I know Felix really appreciated the advice and knowledge Jakob shared.
Saturday we went bowling a second time – we went earlier the week also – in Kempten. We also went and played pool one night, I can't remember what day it was
On Friday we went for a massive walk in freezing, gale force winds. We had noticed this tower sticking up through the trees in the distance behind the house and thought it might be nice to walk there. Oddly we picked the windiest day we’ve seen here to do it. I think it wasn’t really that far, only a few k’s, but being pushed all the time with the wind made it so much further. The walk was worth it for the walk as much as seeing the church. It had a massive tower that must have them most wonderful 360º view. We unfortunately couldn’t look inside as it was locked. I think the main church was built about nine hundred years ago, with the tower added later. We walked through the little cemetery around the church and saw some very disturbing sculptures of The Crucifixion and Resurrection of Jesus, then walked back through some more forest and Westendorf. As we were walking though the town we stopped at a tiny little general store. We bought this wonderful fruit cake, the perfect fruity-doughy, as soon as we can ride the bike on the road we are planning to go back and buy some more.
