AAARRGHHHH!!!
Mozzies in Xining too?! At 16deg!
My RIGHT eyelid is swollen now.
Talk about yin-yang and balance, whatever. rawwwrrrr!!!
ANGRY!
Woke up to a steady drizzle, cold and pattering on the dusty windows.
Washing your face in such temperature is seriously no joke. brrr.
Spoke to Losang, the Lonely Planet Tibet guru ystday, and it seems that getting to Lhasa isn't a problem.
But beyond that, it's out of the qn.
i.e.: No Everest!!! :''( *cries*
well... there goes my possibly only chance to get to the highest point on earth.
pfffft.
i guess if i REALLY want to fulfil the Everest obsession, i'll have to go with Alex in November via Nepal. hmmmmmm
(( AAARRGHHHH!!!!!!!!! THE DOG IS SMELLING ME RIGHT NOW!!!!
help help help help help help help
i can't take a shower and scrubdown each time it comes near.... aargh ))
ok, dogs and mozzies aside, i'm doing quite well.
oh, last nite, working the washing machine was hilarious.
Nimrod was washing his clothes, so i decided to put in my dog-slobbered pants / tshirt to wash too.
we put everything in, threw in a generous load of washing powder, and then the machine started to whirr.
about an hour later, Nimrod told me "the machine's spinning. but no water".
huh?
i realised you had to manually put water in, via a hose at the side!!
so... we had the clothes + washing powder spinning around... w/o water.
*facepalm*
rarr. chinese technology is very interesting, isn't it?
ok, anyway, i gtg pack.
go grab some breakfast then at 10am we go to Kumbum and Takster today, where the Dalai Lama was born.
tata~~
