By our fourth day, we have been sufficiently exhausted by our exertions in the past 3 days, and of course, we were out of even semi-clean clothing. We told Senon there would be no trekking, so we would make jewellery out of forest fruits and seeds instead!
It was a "muy tranquillo" day as we sat around making rings and necklaces, but then sweated our asses off massively as we trekked the 2km back to the river to get the boat. It was then that I proclaimed that "f***ing doesn't even begin to describe this heat!!!!".
Irony of course is that both Rob and I are from sunny places (California and SG), but we live with artificial climate control and are free from the curse of mosquitoes.
The boat ride was a long, hot and painful one, as the motor broke down several times. It took us 4 hrs instead of 2, and we quickly scrambled to get our clothes to the laundromat before it closed. I had to wear my bikini as underwear, a 2nd-hand linen shirt marked "Salvation Army" which I had picked up for $3 from the roadside stall, and my gypsy skirt. Very mismatched, no fashion sense, but what the heck, they didn't reek of bug spray and sweat.
We crashed before 9pm, and our US$6 room felt like the greatest palace of the civilised world.

Yay! I'm so happy that you're contributing to my breakfast reading again. But it'd have been greater if you could shock Gorgeous Lee with your mis-matched outfits :P
Good that you're having fun and have fully recovered from your tummyaches.
