(this is an angry rewrite, because I just closed my completed post by accident)
Ok, I don't really feel like writing anymore, because my previous glorious piece of work was thus eradicated by my own clumsy fingers on the touchpad. RAWRRRR.
To cut a long story short, I essentially had a lot of fun at Spanish class, then went to wander around 'el centro historico', the old part of town in Quito. However, en route during the 3km walk, I started to feel really queasy and unwell, possibly due to the fumes from the buses and walking uphill in already high altitude. So after some wandering, we headed back, and I spent the rest of my afternoon curled up in bed. Dinner consisted of pastries from the nearby bakery and lots of revision for Spanish. I managed to coerce Rob into being a geeky nerd like me, so we had fun studying together. It feels good to be a student again!
Anyway, for a more detailed and uplifting post about our wanderings, check out Rob's blog here!
Cheers,
Felicia en Quito
