Having piled my 3 ginormous bags into the trunk (not "boot"), I was gleefully amused that Rob listens to 98.7FM in California. Quite the coincidence that, of all the numerical possibilities, it was the same as Singapore.

We cruised down the freeway (not "expressway") and I gaped at the massive trailer trucks. Think Optimus Prime. Everywhere.
So I proceeded to go "Ooooooh TRUCK" each time we passed one. Which was like... every 40 seconds or so.
The Man didn't complain. He just chuckled.
He loves me, he does.

It was surreal to be seeing signs for Riverside as we turned on the 91.
Just a couple of years back, when I met Americans in Paris, they were from UCal Riverside.
Surreal, how life is a series of strange coincidences sometimes.

So anyway, I arrived here in Rob's gorgeous house - very tastefully done up, lots of artistic touches, and have invaded his room with my bags and stuff strewn all over the floor.
My first foray into interaction with his family was chatting over Italian red wine with his Mom and StepDad. And Rusty the dog didn't bark at me nor harrass me. Yaay!

Can't wait till we travel South America!
