Baby Food in the Bay

You know what. Baby food tastes disgusting. My wisdom teeth are coming through so I haven't eaten solids for a week! My cheeks are so big and floppy that when I sleep they droop down between my teeth and I accidentally crunch my teeth together and OW!!! Plus my poor delicate bum still hurts from the 12hr bus trip. I'm an invalid at age 21!!!!!!
This entry includes excerpts from letters to friends and family and will attempt to sum up the best and worst moments of my life in Mackay, up to when I applied for my Broken Hill job.
My great mate, Amy and I are the young ones here at the quarters (she's 22). She's a spunky funky monkey! We climbed onto the quarter's roof last week, drunk as skunks, and tiptoed around just drinking and talking and watching the fuzzy, wobbly stars dance access the sky, heh heh! As we tried to get up and leave I fell flat onto my knees and chest. It echoed through the entire building and I almost died laughing!! We didn't want to get busted man, so we took into consideration the rumours about these possums who scamper and thud across the roof while they mate. Amy flew down onto her stomach and started screeching her head off! Then I started thumping like a psycho marsupial across the roof! It was the most fun I've had in a long time!!!
You would not believe what's been going on here. We had an intruder last night....a new woman was taking a shower when she saw a 'man with short black hair' peaking under her shower door. She screamed at him and he just stayed there, perving. When he finally ran off, all of us ran in to help her and then to search to old decrepit building. We found so many ways for an intruder to enter it was not funny. We called the cops, and inspecter spunky came to the rescue (and renewed my faith in police - not that he did a good job or anything...he was just very sexy!) The cops were hopeless. They rocked up 2 hours after it all happened, so we were alone and freaking out in the meantime.
A while ago I walked into the toilets/bathroom and there was a guy there, my 'friend' the physio #$!@#$ (name removed because I'm nice) and he was flat on his stomach at the base of the shower with a girl inside unknowing. I gave him a very obvious look, and he freaked, jumped up real fast and made up an excuse about falling flat on his face. He then told me to be careful that I didn't slip myself! Pfft. I let it drop because he's an awesome PT and like I said before, a friend. But now with the intruder story it all seems a little coincidental to me. !@#$@% has short black hair. He lives between the tv room (when everybody ELSE was that night) and the bathrooms. He was first on the scene and everybody's hero all night. If the cops had thought a bit, they would have realized there was no way for the intruder to escape after he was busted unless he nose-dived out of the top floor window!!
I decided to speak to my boss, and now @$#% and I are part of this massive internal enquiry. I have to make a report to the police which will end up back in !@#$@!'s hands with my name on it! Waaaaaaah.
Oh my god oh my god!!!!
I just applied for my dream job and GOT IT!!!!! No new graduate gets their dream job! WOW!! It's the most wicked job! I've dreamed of working with the Royal Flying Doctors forever! Ever since I was 5 and mum & dad made me watch the show with them! Man, I thought I was being overly ambitious applying for that job....WOOHOO!!!!
How tragically romantic does the town "Broken Hill" sound? That's going to be my new home for a month and a half!! I'll be moving interstate (to NSW) to a place I've never heard of......really really rural, for a permanent position - but I can't wait!
It's seriously my dream job! Flying to remote towns and properties to do clinics for the isolated locals! At the base in Broken Hill I get to work in every aspect of OT because it's so rural. Surgical and medical wards at the hospital, child mental health, forensic psychiatry, school health, hospital paediatrics, hand therapy, rehabilitation and community health!!!
WOOOO HOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!
