-good day to be on the road as it rained all day
-saw a bit of Fox Glacier from a viewpoint, drove to walk nearby but the rain was relentless and the wind kicked up, I noticed the these Kiwis don't use umbrellas, all the trekking tours were canceled by 9:30 am due to the weather, it had been so bad that recently the trails had been washed away so they feared the same would happen today
-we debated all day if we should wait out the rain but in the end we decided to drive up to Greymouth
-checked out Monteith's Brewing Co and had a flight at Speights
-the next day we made it to Punakaiki to see the interesting rock formations of pancake limestone and the blow hole
-the weather was finally starting to clear up a bit with off and on showers
