Wouldn´t you know it...on our very last morning, as we are preparing to leave the ship, we look out from our breakfast and it was pouring rain! NOOOO!!!! No need to make this harder than it already was for us. On a previous night, the comedian on our ship had mentioned how funny it would be if all the passengers just decided to lock ourselves up in our rooms and sleep in. What a great idea!

Yet, it was time to leave and we still had the world to see. It´s not like we were going home, back to our jobs! Things were really not that bad...

We checked into our hostel and it was okay. Spending time there was not what we had in mind anyways. Malaga is the original home of Picasso and we were staying right around the corner from where he grew up. It happened to be the end of the Spanish Film Festival so out and about is where we were headed.

The red carpet was laid out for the film festival so we followed that around town. People were gathered around in various places, waiting for the stars to arrive. We had fun watching the excitement of it all but had no idea who the people were so we took the scene in from a distance. Then we happened to run into two of our eccentric dinner table ladies from our cruise ship. We said our final goodbyes.

We stopped into the Picasso Museum, strolled around the Cathedral de Malaga, hiked up to Gibralfaro Castle, went into Alcazaba, had a look into the bull ring, walked the shopping area of Marques de Larios and Mercado Central. When we finally made it back to the hostel, we chatted a bit with an Italian guy staying there. It´s always interesting to hear people´s thoughts and their views on things.
