Golly. Six days 'till I depart, and just about everything has been taken care of. My Syrian visa arrived without problems. I have all my tickets and even my new international driver's license. Seven days from now hopefully I will have something interesting to say!

For now, let me content you with a basic itinerary. But I reserve the right to change it at a whim!

Step One: Europa. I fly to Germany on the 6th. I will spend a day there and fly to Istanbul. I will spend approximately one month in Turkey, along the Aegean and Med. coasts. Don't worry. I have no intention of visiting the city of Van, where the bird flu broke out. I will be at least 700 km away at all times!

Step Two: Syria, Lebanon and Jordan. Between these three countries, I will spend the greater part of the month of February.

Step Three: Egypt. I will be there for the greater part of the month of March.

Step Four: Poland. I will be there for about five days at the end of March.

Step Five: Learn German. I will be in Berlin from April 3 - 29 improving my teutonicspeak.

Step Six: Visit family & friends elsewhere in Germany.

Step Seven: Fly home via a one day stop in Copenhagen.
