We plan on leaving early but you know what they say about the best laid plans!

Heading to Albany today a little sad to leave Margaret River there is heaps more to see. I think we'll just have to plan another trip. Nice scenery and quite an easy cruise we stop in Walpole for lunch then a short drive to the Treetops walk, a suspended bridge through the Karri forest. Huge majestic trees towering above us even though we are 40 mtrs above ground level, quite an unnerving walk as the bridge sways when you walk along it (especially when you have a very special individual who thinks it’s funny to jump to make it sway even more) Back in the info centre we read how people would park their cars in the trunk of the big Red Tingle trees and take that must have photo. As the trees have a shallow root system with the constant disturbance they would eventually fall down so we don't get the chance to do that today. Another fact we discovered is that the trees need 1200mm of rain to survive so the area they can be found in is very limited. Probably why we have never seen them before!

We head off to Albany making it just before 6pm and decide on staying at Middleton Beach Holiday Park heated pool & spa! Might stay here a few days lots to see and lots to do so hopefully the weather stays good for us. Nearly had a drama when we were unhooking the van my foot got stuck between the tow-ball & the hitch on the car luckily Bill moved forward before any broken bones were sustained and bit of a bonus I got to sit back with ice & a glass of Moscato to watch the worker bees do all the work….I hear a plan developing in the back of my head!
