Next a visit to a mate of Bills’, Roland, his wife Annie and their 2 boys in Harbour Town. A lovely afternoon, Liam was in his element, boy toys to play with, he was off in a flash to the play-room. The girls sat with us on the patio which has the most magnificent views of the Quay with their own private jetty. Ahhh this is the life! Not for long though all too soon time to head off to start packing ready to leave Surfers in the morning..

We spend our last day at Treasure Island relaxing. Clown Capers for the kids face painting, colouring & balloon animals, great for littlies so the kids just rode bikes & jumped on the jumping pillow. Then off to Labrador for the pelican feeding at Charis seafood. Everyday at 1.30(ish) they feed the Pelicans on the beach, the Pelicans know the drill and about 1 hour before they start feeding arriving it is quite a sight. We order chips for lunch and sat and waited; Claire & Liam have brought their kites they made the other day, so spend their time running up & down the beach flying them. The sun is shining and although not warm enough to swim a lovely afternoon. The said feeding begins with about 50 Pelicans catching fish guts and then the kids get a turn! The look on the girls' faces holding dead fish is priceless! If ever you are on the Gold Coast it really is a must see "free" event pack a picnic or order fish & chips get there early to get a table for a great afternoon.
