Today was another relaxed day. First we woke up to a breakfast, very crowded because of a massive annoying Greek tour group. On our way out of town, we stopped and looked for a bookstore again. Then we left for our semi-long drive to Fethiye, made longer by our great lunch along the nicest place in Turkey. I had an extraordinary lunch of chocolate pancakes!!! They were more like double crepes with chocolate in the middle. The place was called Olu Deniz. After our lunch we walked down the colorful beach. What made it colorful was the great light-blue water. It was also memory lane for my Dad, who had been in the exact spot 18 years ago. After washing our sand-covered feet, we drove on about 30 minutes into Fethiye. It took another half and hour to find a hotel. It was set along the old harbor, with a beautiful view of the bay in front of the city. What I like most were the wood boats. They are used for just sailing, fishing, and some even have restaurants on them. In the lobby, we met a 15 year old kid who lived on a boat moored right in the backyard of our hotel. After talking, he invited us into his very messy boat for a tour. I don't think all boats look like that!!
