Magnums on Magnetic are doing a really good deal at the moment. For $50 you get 2 nights in a 10 bed dorm, a free dinner and a free return ferry ticket (worth $26). Magnetic island is really nice and a good place to chill out for a few days. It wasn't thronged with tourists like I was expecting but I think it is still a quite time here. I met an interesting Canadian girl called Ashley and we hung around for the next two days. On the second day we rented scooters and just cruised all around the island and went of a swim at Horseshoe bay. Unfortunately the water was infested with sea lice that sting you. It is not bad but enough to make you want to get out of the water. Later we spotted a Koala in a tree by the school at Nelly bay. This is my first time seeing a Koala in all the time that I have been here. I had a whole 10 bed dorm to myself the second night so I pushed to bunks together and slept in my first double bed in ages!!
