It is nice to be back in Oz just wearing shorts and t-shirt again. I have been back in Cairns for about a week now. Cairns is a real party town with loads of hot scantly clad women everywhere. This is how I imagined the east coast to be. It has been fun for a couple of days but I am ready to leave now. The most fun I have had in Cairns was a night at the cane toad races in Johno's Blues Bar. This is a pretty good place to hear so decent blues and the cane toad thing is hilarious. The guy that does it is very funny. Apparently, Johno himself hosts it most of the time and he is supposed to be a real character. I did a day trip out to Green Island. This is a small sand island and it is beautiful if there weren't so many damn tourists out there! I didn't bother with a trip to the outer reef because I can't dive and really beginning to hate snorkeling more and more. I finally joined up with my mate Sco and a few of his friends here in Cairns. Just been going out and getting pissed all the time really. I have booked my Whitsundays + Frasier island trips and we are renting a car for 3 days to travel to Cape Trib and a bunch of other places. Oh, I went to Reef Teach as well. This is a 2hr lecture on the reef by and Irish guy that has been here for years. I highly recommend it because the guy is very energetic and enthusiastic and it only costs $12. Handy to know what fish and coral you are looking at when you get out there. I have been to the Woolshed and all the usual backpacker bars. You can really have a good time here in Cairns for a few days. Even just hanging out by the salt water lagoon is entertaining..

Ha ha, so you went to that reef teach as well? I went to it cos it came free with my dive trip and it was as entertaining as the trip itself - is that guy not the most insane person you have ever come across?!! I dunno, those Irish people....

yeah, what it's name. In a little village somewhere in the daintree or something. Nice. You can go and spot platipusses there. Might even be called the platipuss lodge.
I think jonno took far too many drugs, he just stands behind the mic dribbling. leering at the girls in the woolshed have you.. dirty boy!
