Okay, it's official, I love Wellington. It is for me the best city in NZ. I stayed in Babs cool apartment on Cuba St. I used to work with Babs in a bookshop many moons ago and amazingly we kept in touch. I slept in the closet (it had a bed in there!) also called the gimp room. I didn't really do much in Welly, it was a welcome relief not have to get up early in the morning! I saw Clerks II in the Embassy Theatre, this is a really cool cinema and well worth catching a movie there. As I expected, Clerks II was not so good and did not have that lowkey charm that Clerks had. I drank an awful lot of coffee during my time here, there so many damn good cafes here! I also me up with Jonathan while I was here and he lives with his girlfriend Zoe in this cool house up in the hills overlooking the city. Also, I experienced my first earthquake! I was just sitting on the couch in Babs place and it just started gently rocking from side to side for about 2 secs. I thought someone was shaking the couch to get my attention but there was no one there when I turned around. Nick her flatmate said that it was an earth quake as casually took another sip of his beer. I hope one day to come back to NZ and I would love to live in Wellington for a couple of months. I spent just for nights here but got good vibes straight away. I am off to Napier now for 3 days.
