The Magic bus pulled up outside Decos at 8am heralding the end of my time in Queenstown. There is so much to do here, I really liked the buzz about town. Sadly, I only got one day's boarding in. I went up to Coronet Peak with Amjid on Thursday and was just about to get on the ski lift when they shut all the lifts. It was so windy. Apparently this rarely happens, just my luck eh! I walked to the top of Fernhill (the hill with the Luge on it). The Luge itself was a little disappointing for me, just not fast enough. The fact that I have done a fair bit of go-karting probably didn't help. The views from up there are amazing. I also got to the top of Queenstown hill. It is called a hill but at over 900M, it is bigger than most mountains in Ireland.
I did a fair amount of drinking during my time here mainly in World Bar, Winnie's and Buffalo's. If you hit the happy hours you can get pissed quite cheaply.
Also ate quite a few burgers in Fergburger, they're great!!
I would like to come back here for a season sometime.
Yes, I was too shit scared to even think about doing the Nevis..
Next stop Dunedin
