I spent just one night here and had just enough time to do the half day ice walk. The glacier is pretty impressive but the half day hike gets you up to where it starts to get interesting and then they turn back. A little disappointing. I wanted to do the heli-hike but it was cancelled because of bad weather. It rains som much here on the west coast. They get 6 times as much rain as we get in Dublin!

Next stop Wanaka, I plan on taking some time out here from the hectic Magic bus schedule and meeting up with Conal. He is letting me stay in his for as long as a want. Top jobber!!
