I spent 2 nights here in Nelson, staying at Paradiso which is an excellent backpackers. They have an old bus down the end of the garden where everybody goes later on in the night. It is the type of place you could imagine staying for a couple of months. I did a day hike in Abel Tasman as far as Torrent Bay. It is like paradise there, I would love to see it in the summer months.

Next stop Greymouth..
