I have been in Sydney just over a week now and it has been pretty interesting so far. I arrived on a Wednesday, applied for jobs online on Thursday, had an interview Friday and Monday and started working on Tuesday. I am working as a .NET contractor for a large American based company called Epicor www.epicor.com. It is a 3 month contract and the money is fantastic! I work on the 32nd floor of the 2nd tallest building that you can see in North Sydney. Look across the harbour and look for the building with Hyundai written on the top. The view is amazing, I can see harbour bridge and the top of the opera house.

All this activity has meant that I have not seen alot of the city. I went to Manly and Bondi at the weekend but have mainly been hanging around Newtown. I am really thinking of moving to Manly, it is really cool out there. Has a cruisy vibe almost similar to Cottesloe Harbour Bridge

Anyway, I am sharing a room with 5 girls at the moment (Korea x 2, Germany x 2 & Canada x 1). It is tough being the only guy, hehehe. Got to know the Korean girls a bit more recently, they are quiet but really nice when they open up a bit. I think one of the Korean girls might fancy me a bit, she said I looked like Tom Cruise, heheheheh...

I have not really been hitting any of the clubs yet. All in good time I suppose.. to be honest I don't reallty care that much about partying it up at the moment. I don't get paid until June so have to scrimp for a little bit longer.
