Well, I am here.. I have finally made it to Melbourne. What a city, I love it here. Just spent the most amazing 3 days with Angie. I am staying in Jackson Manner on Jackson St., in St. Kilda. The hostel is fine, really good one to stay long term and a nice bunch of people here. The guy at the desk, Tim is the grumpiest bastard I have met. He was a total prick on reception when we first checked in. I had no money on me and asked if he accepted credit card, well he looked at me as if I had just insulted his mother. I headed off to find an ATM and left Amjid check in. Amjid told me after that he said, "Not another fucking guitarist, that's all I need".. hehe. I am not taking any shit from this guy. I think he just needs to get laid and maybe go to some smile classes. He reminded me a bit of Bob in the New Central in San Francisco. He seemed to be having a breakdown and was not really dealing with it very well. Funny times.
I have started looking for some contract work and Michael (worked with him in Buy4Now for 3 yrs) has been a real help here. He has given me 2 contacts now. I will meet him for lunch tommorrow. He doesn't work that far from here, I think...
Really looking forward to living in Melbourne for a couple of months. Sadly, I probably won't be updating this blog that often, or maybe I will...
