Broome Time

Okay, just left Broome 2 days ago. Stayed at the Kimberley Klub, one of the best backpackers I have stayed in. Spent 4 nights in Broome, largely doing fuck all. The first day or two was really hot so spent most of the morning in and out of the pool before even the pool got too hot. One day I went to a croc farm run by this this pre-Steve Irwin dude whose name escapes me now. The 2 main croc types are "salties" and "freshies". The fresh water crocs don't get very big and are more afraid of you, just don't corner the fuckers. The male salties are huge and they just sit there maybe not moving for hours, then, bam the explode from the water. We were there for feeding time. Went to cable beach; nice beach but could not go in the water because of the stingers.
Did not do much else really, met some other guitar players. Went to this really quirky old cinema in china town (yes Broome has a chinatown) with the German girls (Nanna & Julie) that we met at a roadhouse a few days ago. The cinema claims to have first opened in 1910, it is open air and the film we went to see "Mrs Henderson Presents" had some wartime parts which was great because there were flashes of lightning going off every now and then.
The roads are supposed to be clear all the way to Darwin now so we have decided to set off.
