I bought a car the other day from an America dude from Vermount. He was emotionally attached to the car (even though it looks lke a piece of shit), but was heading home real soon so I got him down from $1100 to $800. The car is a 1984 Ford Falcon GL (rego'd till 06/06 and has WA plates). It is a station wagon type car with a huge 4.0L engine. She handles a bit like a boat and is certainly the biggest car I have ever piloted (I think pilot is more apt for this car). It is an automatic which I am not used to and in the begining I kept reaching for the gears when slowing down to turn a corner. I am pretty happy with the car. The driver door lock does not open so you have to get in from the passenger side. Also, if you are in the passenger side you have to roll down the window to let yourself out.

Now, I have the car and some basic supplies (i.e Jerry Can, Esky, Gas Stove), I can look for some travel buddies for my trip up north. So far there has not been much response to my notice. I met one German girl who was really nice but she has decided to travel with her friend instead.

I am planning a mini road trip to test out Fredrica, see how she handles it.

Later...
