I moved to another hostel further West in a town called Cottesloe. It
is right by the beach and the hostel is called Ocean Beach Backpackers.
It is ten times better than the Underground and the people are very
friendly. I am sharing an 8 bed dorm with 2 girls (Sweden &
Finland), an English guy and a Welshman and a guy from Belgium. It is
my first mixed dorm and it was a bit weird at first but you get used to
it.

My days consist of going to the beach, having a bit of a think about what to do for the day and then going and doing something.

I went to Rottnest Island yesterday and just cycled round the whole
island. There are marsupials called Quakas all over the island. They
are like a cross between a rat and a kangoroo. They are very tame and
don't run away when you go up to them.

I think I will hang around for another week here, just until I find some people to go to Darwin with.
