We stopped here just for a night to break up the journey on our way to the south of Bolivia.

Its a small town with not much to do there but we had out for a day exploring & went for a long walk.

There was a horse ride you could take into the mountains but we decided our butts couldnt take another horse ride and walked the route instead.

After walking through a stinky rubbish tip to get there things started to look up. We were in the mountains with bright red soil all around us. It looked very similar to the scenery of area around the Grand Canyon. Cactuses were everywhere, taller than Neil!

It was Fae's birthday while we were there but we had a night bus to get so instead of drinks, we went on a cake crawl instead of a pub crawl, going to every bakery we could find. Yummie...but we felt so sick after!

Food & Drink
International McDonalds Meal: No McDonalds

Local Beer: Pacena

Cant remember the name of it but it was a HI Hostel $19 a night for a private room & bathroom with air con and WIFI. Good hostel with tour booking office at reception.

            Alcohol: $1 for a beer

            Meals: $3 per meal

Average Daily Spend per person: $25

Transport there for both of us: $15 bus from Uyuni - The bus was an ALL day bus & we had to swap busses in the middle and got dumped in the middle of nowhere next to a gross river with pigs in it for about 2 hours. Lovely ;-)

Total Spend for both of us inc. $70
