Pakse is one of the bigger towns in Laos although there is not much to do in the town itself so it's used mainly for a base for lots of different activities around the area like trekking, motorbike tours etc.

We used it as another rest stop on our way down to the south of Laos and took a day out to relax. We got there about 5pm after an 8 hour bus ride with no air conditioning…it exhausted us!

We are heading to a place next called the 4000 islands – perhaps we will come back to Pakse afterwards though and see some of the surrounding area – We have a flight out of Pakse on the 3rd Apr.
