Early morning for me, got a bus at 8am to Jaipur in Rajasthan, it's about 260km south east of Delhi. Took the bus because it was supposed to be nearly as long as the train. But did not imagine the traffic in Delhi, it took us about 2 hours to leave the city. The journey will take about 7 hours before arriving in Jaipur. Along the way, the usual cows have been more or less substituted by camels. I struggle a bit to find a guesthouse but after a good hour wondering around I found one, and it's a gem! The guest house is spotless, the room is huge with a proper bathroom, the first one I have since arriving, there is hot water (first time again in 8 days) and cable tv. I got a real good deal so quite happy about it. I spend the rest of the afternoon/evening walking around. In the evning, I watch a bit of tv and by surprised catch the beginning of the new James Bond movie, though at strat that it was a short preview but it turns out to be the full movie

I wake up early again to make the most of my only day in Jaipur. I start by spending most of the morning in the main bazaar inside the old city. It's great, I love bazaars, that is if you can handle the hassle of the usual sellers. Got to chat to some locals, was quite interested to find out about all the different spices and colourfull powders on sale in their shops. I did not get half of what they were saying but could see they were quite proud of their stalls. Stopped for lunch in a very small restaurant, more like a street food stall. The guys were very helpfull as the menu is only in Indian. They cooked my dish right in front of me and it was so good. I can't believe I am eating vegetarian food now but the way they do it here make so more interesting to eat. The afternoon in spent visiting varoius monument including the City Palace. When I go back to my room I got a note on my door from a french girl who just booked herself at the guestroom. She is travelling alone and asking if we can meet up in the evening, which is what we do.
Friday 8th of December
I have taking the bus back to Delhi as I want to visit Agra (Taj Mahal) on saturday, it's close by. The journey in the bus is quicker this time. In Delhi, I check in a pretty average hotel but the room service guy is hilarious. It's quite difficult to find a place here in Delhi where they sell beers/alcohol as the licences are quite restricted, but you can have all you want with him!! So I place my order through him in the evening and he delivers within few minutes!! Not doing much in the evening, got a train at 7.15am tomorrow for Agra.

Vegetables!!!
You must be joking, you have been eating vegetables!!??!! I had to read the latest entry three times before I believed my eyes, looks like there's still hope for you... :-)
I am so jealous of your travels, look forward to reading the next instalment!
Nothing new here, been staying in for two weekends in a row which has given me a headache that's lasted three days... could be withdrawal symptoms from alcohol..!
Going home on Saturday for 10 days, can't wait to have a break.
Does your phone work over there?
