hey guys!!!
well, we finally get a chance to make an entry. where do we begin? at the beginning you say? what a fabulous idea!
ok, firstly for those who don't know, we flew air new zealand to LA. highlight of the trip was clearly the cutlery!! it was amazing! they were the sturdiest knives and forks i've ever come across! also, something else amazing, all of those reading this know how much us 3 girls love our tv/movies.....can you believe we actually got sick of watching the tv screen? ridiculous i hear u cry (well, we imagine we can hear it), but yes, we needed some time out from our personal tv screen.
upon arriving to new zealand, we found the toilets to be extremely courteous. they wished us a good day after we'd done our business and tan had some joy her of own by walking in on a man doing some wees. hilarious stuff.
got to LA and went to our hostel. key position in hollywood, though not luxury accommodation as one would expect. had 2 different girls in our dorm over the 2 nights which was interesting. saw the hollywood sign, went to universal and went in the 'house of horrors' which was thew worst idea ever! had no idea what we were getting ourselves in to and crap, (well, thats what nearly ended up in our pants by the end of it!) it was scary as hell. it was certainly not like the ghost train at the geelong show, let me put it that way! anyway, that sums up LA, let me say, 2 nights were definately enough!
we then stopped at santa monica to visit our friend hoody and we went to santa monica pier (ooohhhhh david hasselhoff) which was really nice, then we moved on to laguna where tan was designated driver. she did very well (eg; we are not dead! haha) nah, but seriously, its amazing how quickly we have all become accustomed to being backwards! laguna was very low key, but very nice and now we are here at THE VEGAS! just arrived today, so will have a look at the bright lights tomorrow night. it is friggin hot!
ok, things about america: toilets are weird. it sucks out all the water and, well, its weird. u gotta experience it for yourself.
refills: totally awesome. anywhere u go to eat, they automatically fill up your drink when you've finished it (even if u don't want them to, and u feel real bad when u don't drink more of it). also at the movies the refill popcorn too. damn our australian eating abilities and not being able to take advantage of such a fabulous offer. also, at the movies we came across a brand of ice cream dear to our hearts.... guess what it was called.......DIBS!!! thats right fellas, dibs! and guess what...... WE DIBSED IT!!!
americans are crazy
oh, big cars everywhere, no use of blinkers what-so-ever! again, well done to tan for keeping us all alive.
stupid tax! tax isn't included in anything, so not only is tax added, then u gotta add a tip (which we have no idea about most of the time). so we're either being extremely generous or the biggest tightarses you've ever seen!!
food: can anyone pass us a salad? or vegies? or fruit? or something that doesn't feed 1800 people in one serve! yes, we have been going 3rds in everything we order. one night we forgot and ordered a meal each.... we got a doggy bag and had it the next night for dinner. we are so efficient!
anyway, we've talked enough s**t for now. until next time, love lots with hugs and kisses,
ez, liss and tan.
