So, Murphy's Law, the night that we decide to risk camping there is a thunder storm. We survived but all woke up feeling tired after a very loud and windy night.
It was out of Hanksville and onto the US95. The head winds were merciless to the cyclists who gave it there all in such cold conditions.
On the plus side the views in the multiple national parks were stunning.
For the night we decided to camp in the Hite Recreation Area next to Lake Powell; stunning scenery yet again.
Setting up the tent for the night was interesting as another storm had come in and the ground was not far off rock so our aluminium pegs bent, some beyond repair. The tent was set up using rocks just in time for the cyclists who arrived looking for shelter.
We hoped for a quiet night tonight...
