Eureka.... we've found it!

After leaving the closed camp site it was back onto Route 50.
We ended up for the night in a town called Eureka approximately 77 miles from Ely the apparent 'New York" of the US50 so only 10 people then! Eureka is a small town spanning one street but has 2 hotels in the street.
We chose to stay at the Best Western for the night and were put in the suite; to call it a suite is a 'slight' over exaggeration! We can't wait for Ely!
