I left Sharon's house and took the train to Brugge where she recommended I try the French fries and some ice cream. Did you know that the Belgians actually invented the French fries but for some reason over time the French started taking all the credit for them? They were much better than the typical French fries we are use to in the states, with many different sauces to choose from. I chose a heated spicy honey mustard sauce poured over them and it made a delicious lunch along with fried sausage (not on a stick!) covered in a crunchy batter. I found me a spot in the middle of the ancient plaza and enjoyed my meal knowing exactly what I had to look forward to for dessert. I took my time and some pictures in the warm afternoon sun. It was then time to find "Da Vinci" the highly recommended ice cream shop. I walked up and down a few of the streets around the main plaza and when I finally saw the ice cream through the window it looked so delicious and fake! Nothing like what I am use to when I see ice cream so I had to take a step back and make sure I was at the right place and man was it good! I then (being very satisfied) headed back to the train station to get my backpack out of the locker and to Gent I went.
