We finally go on the road then and away we went.  And then later on as some are sleeping off the night

before and others are playing cards or reading, totally relaxing..then...we slow down real fast as there

is a herd of Elephants crossing the road.  It was awesome!!  I got a video of part of it (trying to upload

it now, taking forever).  there were so many though, the herd was kinda split into 3 groups and they were

non to happy that we had this big orange thing in the middle of them.  At one point they were yelling at

us and some gathered some of the young and circled around them.  we were just driving down the highway,

how cook is that!!!  Then we go!!

We got in to Kasane for the night and spent it as a new place for the Gecko group.  We did however stay

at the same place i had been before.  Imagine that.   Things did start out well though, one of the guys put

his camera in the bar for charging and asked if it was OK and that the bar tender was looking after it.

Well shifts changed and the camera was then gone.  The memory card was thankfully removed before it was

put to charge so no pictures were lost.  This was not a good trip for belongs.... But later that night a

hippo thought it would come up by the camp.  This camp has a fence around it but apparently it was feeling

like it wanted to challenge the fence anyway, and took a couple runs at it, but didn't actually ram it. I

missed the rushing of the fence but i did get a look at it before it moved back down the river bank and

into the water.  I was off to bed that night and missed the further entertainment of the Elephants that

ran on by in the dark...

The next morning we then moved on over the border into Zambia.  This would be my third time now crossing

over this border crossing.  I also got my camera out this time to get the craziness and congestion and not

order what so ever it seems around that place.  This is where the semi truck can wait up to a week to get

across the ferry.  It was likely the longest time i waited so far, but still it wasn't that bad.  Just

people watch.  Our driver knew what he was doing though as he made sure he was up front for the ferry

loading and that we no small feet as there was three different places the ferry liked to use to stop at.

It had pulled into one place but the bus on it couldn't get off so it moved over to more level ground but

that still didn't work, it had to move in close to shore to level out the ferry that much more.  It was a

really long bus longer that i have seen at home but it finally made it off and our guy got our truck on

first, still not sure if he had the right away but we were on.  We go!

Back to The Waterfront at Livingston, Zambia.  I was first here at the end of January in the full hight of

the rainy season.  When we pulled in this time we ended up at the exact same parking spot i had the first

time.  But this time we actually camped right off the truck.  Funny, case the first time we were told not

pitch the tent near the truck as it would get washed away, and it would have.. So i was really not sure

about doing it this time either but it was much drier then the last time so for one night i figured we

were good.  And we were. They are actually watering the grass this time around.   A few us of went off and

booked flights over the waterfalls.  I was one that booked a micro-light trip and it was cool.  not sure i

enjoyed the first part of it was it was windier then i would have liked but once we got up we steadied out

and it was much smoother from there.  It really is the only way to really see the falls though, you get a

great look at them from the air, as you can only see them in small chucks from the ground.  you could go

in helicopter if you wanted to....

Anyway, it was a neat the way this trip ended.  Instead of me rushing off to another group and saying by to

friends while they stayed i stuck around and saw everybody off.  And it went in waves.  We all had the one

night here together then a few of them went off across to Zimbabwe for a couple days before going home.

Then stuck around for another night before joining the remainder of their tour that took them in another

direction, then another one the next day and the last two the day after that.  I have been having a few

quite days again reading and enjoying the sunshine.  And trying to figure out what I'm going to be doing

after this tour is finished as my next tour in Uganda was canceled, so i have 4 weeks to fill or move

Egypt up or something but i am working on that with my new travel agent. Go Krista!!!!  She was on my fist

trip with me and lives in Ontario.  so glad i got to meet her, she may not be thinking at that this moment

as she tries to work things out for me!!! cross you figures as i still want to see gorillas and that is

the one that got canned...  (not enough people on the tour apparently)

OK, well i think i have been babbling enough.  I have been typing this in to notebook so that i could

upload photos while i got the typing done but it doesn't seem to be happening.  well it was the video that

was trying to get up but maybe another day.

I GO!!!
