Road to the Scout Jamboree: Fort Sumter

Started a trip yesterday, July 28th. Left south Florida and went to visit St. Augustine, Florida. From there we continued on and arrived at Hunter Army Airfield in Savannah, Georgia around 7PM. By 11PM we arrived at the USS Yorktown and I slept aboard the ship.
Today, I visited Fort Sumter to see the location of the first battle of the Civil War. Formerly it had been 3 stories, but the war reduced it to one story.
Later in the afternoon we went to visit Fort Moultrie. That night we headed back to the USS Yorktown to sleep.
On July 30th I visited Williamsburg and in the evening we went to Fort Eustis. We slept on cots inside a gigantic tent. As a practical joke we carried one of the boy's cots outside and he woke up in the morning in the middle of the field.
