We met up with the Iowa cousins in Hannibal, Missouri.  Cousin Steve taught us how to do a swan dive into the swimming pool.  He was so graceful.

For dinner we all went on a riverboat (no casino!) along the Mississippi.

I visited the Jefferson Expansion Memorial in 1986 and also on September 17, 2005. We went up to the top level of the memorial inside of a claustrophobic-inducing elevator, but at the top we had a terrific view of St. Louis. The memorial was built to honor former president
Thomas Jefferson and his achievements as a patriot and his accomplishments as a president such as making the Louisiana Purchase.

After visiting the Jefferson Memorial I went to the Ulysses S. Grant National Historic Site with Diana and my mom where we did a tour of the former president's farm/home.
