I have been to Key West many, many times.  Far too many times to remember how many visits or what dates.  The two exact dates that I can remember were with my wife (girlfriend at the time) and my sister and her husband (boyfriend at the time) for New Years in 2003.
The other date I can remember was for my bachelor party on May 21, 2005.

There were five additional trips I can remember, but don't recall the dates.   One was with my former roomate Jason for the weekend (stayed at the infamous El Patio hotel).  We had a great time up and down Duval and an extremely jello shot girl who gave you one miraculously with no hands (!) whether you wanted one or not.  We remember seeing the true spirit of the Keys as we walked by The Bull and saw an old man sitting on a bar stool
next to his dog who was also sitting on a bar stool with his paws up on the bar.  We found a great bar and jammed to live music all night.

A fourth trip was with a couple teachers I worked with in my first year.  It was a fun trip, and we enjoyed a Booze Cruise that for some reason I can not remember all the details.

A fifth trip was with my best friends Bram and Ken where we made sure to have a shot at
each bar.  Every time we had a new round wee would make a toast
and then had to requote each and every other toast of the night.

A sixth  trip was with best friend Barry and a bunch of his friends from work. We camped out nearby and had a great time going out at night.

A seventh trip was with my cosuin Jason from new York.  He flew down and we went over Spring Break.  It was madness at that time.  We had a little preparty in the afternoon
and by the time we made it to the pool I couldn't move for the next few hours.  Jason took off and when he returned he has a brand new cooler filled with beverages, two platters of waffles, and two grilled cheese sandwiches.  We had a great time out on Duval and dancing at Ricks.

There is something about being in Key West that just sets your body at ease
and a total sense of relaxation.  Maybe it is the gorgeous sunset every night that is celebrated as a daily festival.  Or maybe it is the fact that once that sunset ends you are standing on the end of Duval and ready to make your pub crawl.  Or maybe it is the fact that it is so relaxed there that going out clothes are shorts and a tank top if you please.  Or maybe that Duval is lined with bar after bar after bar and that you can even go out on the street with your beverage.  Or maybe that each bar is so unique from places with live music to dancing at Ricks to frozen drinks at Fat Tuesday to awesome eats and great music at Sloppy Joes or eating a Cheeseburger in Paradise at Jimmys or the third level
of The Bull or even its 2nd floor balconies or all ofthe countless hidden little spots on side
streets and in the back of the back of the bars.  Or maybe it is the fact that you can buy conch fritters or Key Lime pie anywhere and everywhere.  Or maybe it is staying at
the hotel that has its own Waffle House open 24 hours so when you arrive back after the Duval Crawl you can eat no matter what time it is.  I love this place!!!
