At 1PM I boarded a whale watching boat. The navigators/naturalists thought they knew only one place that we would be able to find whales and that took us almost three hours of boating directly north into Canadian waters and off the coast of Vancouver. Once there we were very, very disappointed to only catch glimses of orcas in the distance. So the boat turned around and made the three journey back to shore. I can't believe I paid $65 to be on this boat six hours and barely see anything when meanwhile I had fantastic views of a plethora of orcas swimming along the coast yesterday at Lime Kilm Park. The boat docked back at the pier at 6:45 and I raced up seven blocks to get to my car and board the ferry that left at 6:55Pm. Once I parked on the ferry as I was getting out of my car the ferry was already underway! The boat took me back to Anacortes and from there I drove northeast about 45 minutes before stopping to sleep.
