I woke up at 7AM, had a shower, dropped camp and went for a big breakfast.  A couple hours later I left on a white water rafting trip with Zollers on the White Salmon River.  It was a 7 1/2 mile adventure filled with wicked white.  I was one of five on the raft plus the guide.  I got to ride shotgun on the raft and so I recieved some huge waves.  I've done a ton of rivers but this one just had nonstop rapids with very few calm spots in between.  Some of the class three rapids were Grasshopper, Corkscrew (3+/4), Waterpout, Stairstep Falls (3+/4), and Orchard Drop.  They were exciting rapids!!  Our guide was a lot of fun and sent our raft down many rapides sidewways for maximum splash.  I was hit by a ton of waves.

Finally we reached Husum Falls which was a class five due to a thirteen foot vertical drop over a waterfall.  Almost half of the toal rafters chose not to even go over the falls.  When the raft splashed over and down the falls it completely submerged.  For seconds we had completely disappeared from plain view below the white water (the entire raft and all 6 people) and then the raft shot back out of the water like a submarine resurfacing.  Afterwards we watched another raft go over and were shocked at how it just vanished under water before popping back out.  It was such a rush when our raft popped back out of the water we all sucked in oxygen and then were cheering wildly.

As we continued down we rode over Rattlesnake, Deadman's Corner and Little Big Hole.  After one rapid we paddled back upstream into the rapid and surfed the wave for a good 30 seconds as water continuouly poured over us.  When we were coming up to the final rapid our guide played a joke on me and had me move from the front to the middle row and then he purposely mishit the rapid which popped my side of the raft up and I flew out of the boat into the icy water.  It was hysterical that I stayed in the boat over Husum but fell out from that one.
