Since I already explored the southern portion of Yosemite yesterday, I made a direct one hour drive north into the park to the main village area of Yosemite. Just before the village I stopped by this meadow with a terrific view of El Capitan.

At the village I visited the visitor center, watched the Yosemite video and toured an exhibit on Yosemite. The exhibit hall was a small museum showing how Yosemite's landscape was formed, how people have lived in Yosemite for hundreds of years and about the park's wildlife.
After that I walked through the Indian village to learn about the Ahwahnee Indians. Then I toured the Ansel Adams Gallery to see many of his, and other photographers, pictures. Finally I walked through the Yosemite Cemetery.

At 2PM I signed up for a tour with Canon Cameras. They let me use a big 35mm digital camera. The tour focussed on how to use all the features of the cameras. Then we walked through some trails of the park and practiced our new photography skills. I got to see Yosemite Falls along the camera hike. The tour finished about 4:30PM and I made the hour drive back south to my hotel.
