I started the morning with a tune up for my car and caught up with some phone calls while I waited for my car to be serviced.

From there I drove west to the Arizona Sonoran Desert Museum.  I was talked into going to this "museum" by a park ranger at Saguaro.  I wasn't really interested in going because a museum would just have stuffed animals and exhibits.  But in reality this place was more like a zoo.  It was ALIVE!  Even better than that is didn't have polar bears and random things, but rather everything here was exclusive to the Sonoran Desert.  So I took a four hour walk outisde through all of the exhibits.  There were over 300 animal species and 1,200 plants to view.  The walk-in aviary was so cool and birds of all colors and species were zooming all around me.  They even had an aviary just for hummingbirds.  Throughout other exhibits I saw numerous big cats, bighorn sheep, a bear, snakes, wolves, owls, and over 100 different species of cactus and desert plants.  It was an absolute blast!!

Next I drove through Saguaro (Sah-wah-row) National Park.  The park was filled with saguaro cactus as well as other desert plants and animals.  The saguaro cactus can grow to 50 feet tall and live 200 years.

At night I slept in Casa Grande, Arizona.  I had a delicious meal and margaritas at a Mexican restaurant.
