On June 18th I drove 132 miles to Millinocket, Maine
On June
19th I went white water rafting on the Penobscot and hit four class 5
rapids going down. Great ride! At the end of the day I drove 185 miles
to and around Gardiner, Maine.
On June 20th I drove 185 miles toward
Boston. Along the way I drove slowly down the coast to see many
lighthouses. In Portland I saw the small Bug Light and Spring Light
Head lights. From there I went to Portland Head lighthouse. It was breathtaking with waves crashing up on the rocks. I continued down to Kennebunkport, the summer home of George and George Bush. It was a great little town with a terrific beach and beautiful "Americana" houses. I continued south to Cape Neddick Lighthouse. Long Beach was fantastic with great homes with patios along the strip of the beach. The lighthouse was beautiful and I enjoyed the view from the rocky shore as the waves crashed around me.
